10 Must-See Attractions in Brisbane

As a city destination and gateway to spectacular Queensland, Brisbane is first-rate. The third-most populous city Down Under has over 2 million people – with a bullet – and a sprawling cityscape to explore. A vibrant arts and culture scene, colorful natural scenery, superb landmarks and eclectic points of interest combine to make the metropolis that feels like a small town a perennial favorite in Australia.
Whether on a road trip from Sydney up the Gold Coast or as far north as beautiful Cairns, take a long rest stop in Brisbane. And for the love of Sir Thomas Brisbane himself, give these ten must-see attractions a go.
10. Brisbane City Hall and Museum of Brisbane
Brisbane City Hall is perhaps the most indelible landmark in the city and while not built in the late 19th century like the Customs House and Cathedral of St. Stephen, the home of the Museum of Brisbane has foundation roots in a bygone era. The notable symbol of Brisbane is on the Register of the National Estate.

The Powerhouse complex proves how funky and alternative Brisbane has become in recent years. The New Farm ‘hood gem is a performance arts, visual arts and festival hub, all in a former power station factory built in 1928. Come to New Farm Park and pay the facility a visit.
